This is one of the popular days in the US and it works for promoting awareness of issues related to families and aware people about the social, economic and demographic activities affecting families, International Day of Families was proclaimed by the UN General in 1993
History of International Day of Families
On 20th September 1993, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution called A/RES/47/237 that gets the named 44/82 which was got approval in the December 1991. It is issued to encourage better living standards and creating the value of families worldwide.
Later on in the year 1994, the UN declared officially as the International Day of Families in response to the progress of the economic and social structures that affect the stability of families around the globe.
The symbol of International Day of Families is having a solid green circle and red image in the middle the symbol shows schematic drawing elements of a house and a heart.
Activities on International Day of Families
On this Day, you can see a wide variety of activities is held at local, national and international levels. There are so many seminars, workshops, campaigns and meetings are organized to spread awareness among young generations and children for public policies to support and strengthen support family units.
